Project Overview:

  • The NYC band, Shorelines to Sutton, desired a new logo for their upcoming EP.
  • First I created the simple and bold. letter mark in Adobe Illustrator. I reflected and flipped the letter “S” then joined them together to make a number “2” in between the conjoined letters. The resulting icon is also symbolic of a sine wave. The wordmark was inspired by 4 typefaces. I wanted a  sans serif, technology styled, typeface composed of soft corner tubular forms reminiscent of both audio waves and sea waves with a futuristic, minimalist yet clean, clear and legible typestyle that works in conjunction with the letter-mark symbol. The main distinctive features are the sharp corners of U, Cropped S and N and stencil H, R, and E.
