Project Overview:

  • I met Pete many years ago when he was taking a train from Chicago to New York City. Since then I’ve followed his amazing adventures and beautiful images through social media. So when he contacted me about creating a logo design, I gladly accepted.
  • Using Adobe Illustrator, I started with his sketch of Mountains and a river for the main logo. For the type, I wanted something that would mix the organic themes from his encounters with one that gave it perspective: bring the “out of focus” into focus, so to speak. I also added some brand elements such as a monogram location pin, to simplify tagging his brand that alluded to the fact that these photographs are also pins of memory in the places he’s looked upon. Likewise, I’ve included a copyright mark, and a circular watermark to further extend his brand options.
