I really 💖 that you integrated multiple design disciplines into a single group in order to meaningfully connect with users and consumers through real, relevant, and experiential brand design.
This appeals to me because I am an m-shaped unicorn designer! I consider myself an experienced visual brand-identity designer and UX/UI product designer with a wide breadth of overlapping design and communication skills including strategy, marketing, front-end code, transmedia storytelling, and content creation.
I’m also pretty good at research and writing. Likewise, I’m adept at running my own freelance businesses, which adds another layer of soft skills. As a multi-dimensional creative, I have more opportunities to problem-solve and collaborate on a number of different projects.
BA or MA in Design required
I received a Media Arts Degree from DePaul University, but most recently I expanded my tech design skills graduated from Flatiron’s UX/UI intensive Bootcamp.
A strong understanding of graphic design
Despite my practical graphic design experience, I refreshed my knowledge by receiving a specialization certificate from CalArts through Coursera.
I’m currently expanding my design skills by learning front end design and development through Flatiron’s post-graduate program and University of Michigan’s Web Design Specialization via Coursera.
